Yoga for Kids
Establishing healthy habits from an early age is a great way to support the well-being of our tamariki. There are lots of great ways to move our bodies, from sports, to dance, to play – yoga is another fun way to move without the need for special equipment or a large space. Yoga has many benefits, including being a mindfulness practise to help children focus on the present, concentrate on their breath, while also building strength and balance.
These beautiful resources developed by Twinkl support whānau and teachers of children aged 5-13 to introduce some simple yoga sequences, including animal yoga poses and a fun yoga dice to make at home or school.
