Friendship makes life an adventure, helps us feel part of communities, and is an important part of our hauora (wellbeing)! From helping us with our learning, being there for us when we need support, or just hanging out on the playground - friends are an important part of childhood!

As a class or a community group it can be really helpful to reflect on friendship together - How does friendship enrich our lives? What makes a good friend? How can we be good friends to others?

Explore the resource below to see some beautiful examples of friendship around the world!

30th July - International Day of Friendship

The 30th July each year is the perfect day to celebrate friendship in all its forms and to reflect on the richness our friends add to our lives!

Students could use the resource above to learn more about some examples of friendship from around the world and then as a class create your own booklet with snapshots of what friendship looks like in your class or community!

You can also find lots more amazing resources for International Day of Friendship over with our friends at Twinkl.

Please get in touch if you'd like to share any of your class' reflections on friendship, or if you would like any further support!
