#BeatHunger Resources for the Classroom

These resources are part of the global #BeatHunger campaign to fight malnutrition. You can find out more about this campaign here: https://hunger-crisis.savethechildren.org.nz/

When children know more about their rights, they are more empowered to speak up and advocate for themselves and others! This is why we have created three specific resource packs to support their learning about their right to healthy nutrition, and the ways they can also support others worldwide who are fighting malnutrition.

Give them a go and let us know what you think!

See, Think, Wonder - Global Nutrition Resource

To introduce ākonga to the topic of global nutrition and to get their prior knowledge and connection, try using the See, Think, Wonder resource as an oral language prompt for groups, or an individual reflective activity.

Global Nutrition Activity Pack

This learning pack contains activities for ākonga to reflect on their health and nutrition, and learn more about others. With a range of different activity types, creative challenges, and real-world examples, this resource can be used to introduce upper primary and intermediate students to the idea of global nutrition and malnutrition around the world and how this connects to what they already know about keeping healthy.
