Founded in 1919, Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organisation for children.

Here in Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world, we give a powerful voice to children and champion their rights.

Together with our supporters, we save children’s lives when disaster strikes, and create lasting change for children and their families through our long-term education, health, and child protection projects in the Pacific, Asia and around the world.

Emergencies

When disaster strikes, every minute counts because the faster we respond, the more lives we can save. We are always among the first to respond and the last to leave in times of emergency. When cyclones destroy villages, or conflict drive families to flee from their homes, we are there, delivering life-saving aid and ensuring children’s unique needs are met and their voices heard.

We do whatever it takes to reach children – but we can only do it with your support.

Advocacy

While most children in New Zealand live a healthy and fulfilling childhood, too many children are still being left behind.

We work with our supporters and partners to advocate and campaign for change to improve children’s wellbeing, realise children’s rights and ensure children’s voices are being heard.

Our Programmes

Our child-centred programmes deliver real and lasting change.

Thanks to our incredible supporters, we’re delivering programmes in the Pacific, South-East and South-Central Asia focused on saving children’s lives, fighting for their rights and helping children reach their full potential.
