Baby Lana was born on 26 April 2024 in the middle of war in Gaza. Her mother, Tima, had spent months displaced, living in a tent, worried about where she could safely give birth. Lana was the first baby born at Save the Children’s emergency maternity unit, arriving healthy despite everything her family had endured.

Just days later, Lana became seriously ill with a life-threatening infection caused by the harsh living conditions. Thanks to quick action and urgent medical care from Save the Children’s doctors, Lana survived and made a full recovery. Your support helps babies like Lana get the care they need to live.
