We save children’s lives, wherever they are, whatever it takes
Save the Children’s emergency teams are on the ground 365 days a year, working in some of the most challenging environments in the world. We ensure that the most vulnerable children, together with their families, have access to shelter, clean water, food and healthcare, and that children are safe from harm and able to continue their education.
We don’t just provide life-saving support, we also stay long after the television cameras have left, to help people rebuild their lives. People like you help us to build schools, provide long-term healthcare and provide shelter.
In 2013 our supporters helped us to deliver life-saving aid to more than 7.6 million children in 39 countries, including Fiji, the Philippines, Kenya, India, Niger, Pakistan, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Mauritania and Syria. We responded to 119 emergencies, including natural disasters and armed conflicts.
Having the funds in place before an emergency strikes means we can get to work straight away. We don’t lose precious time waiting for public or government support.
By donating you will help enable us to be ready before a disaster strikes so that we can release funds immediately, so that we can save more lives.
