Nepal
In Nepal, we are working to give 40,000 Nepalese children from minority communities access to quality early childhood and primary education.
With the support of the New Zealand government we are helping state and private schools improve their administrative systems, school facilities and educational resources.
We are working with local NGOs to make sure children are in safe and supportive environments. So far this programme has seen more children attending schools, implemented better teaching practices and fostered more positive school environment in selected schools . Due to its success we are expanded the programme into three other areas.
We are also working with schools to track student enrolment and progress and support a Village Child Protection Committee to help keep children safe.
