Indonesia

In Indonesia, Save the Children New Zealand supports 75 primary schools in Maluku province and assists local community members to take part in school management decisions.

With the support of the New Zealand government, child representatives are being trained in each school so that children can advocate for whatever support they feel is most needed for their own education and wellbeing. Community members are also being taught how to find their own funding from local governments so that they can become more independent.
