Hear Our Voices

Our Hear Our Voices Values Exchange is an online platform that engages young New Zealander’s on the issues that matter to them. It promotes deep thinking and enables clear communication about social issues that affect us all.

For Save the Children New Zealand, it is a chance to listen to what children and young people are saying so that we are better informed to engage with them, as well as with policy makers, schools and other organisations working with and for New Zealand’s children and young people.

It is the next step in our Hear Our Voices We Entreat project, which started in 2010 when we commissioned a project that gave vulnerable children and young people in New Zealand the opportunity to speak out about the issues that concern them. Bullying, child abuse, domestic violence and gang recruitment were all common themes.
