Accountability

Save the Children's success as the world's leading independent organisation fighting for children's rights depends on good governance, strong management, effective programmes and public trust and confidence.

The International Save the Children Alliance is made up of 27 national organisations, working together to improve children’s lives in over 120 countries.

As part of the Alliance, we respond to the needs of children by sharing expertise, coordinating activities and pooling resources. Every Save the Children organisation contributes to our long-term strategies.

Save the Children has a Secretariat in London to support and coordinate major joint initiatives, ensuring we achieve the greatest possible impact for children. We also have staff based in New York, Geneva and Brussels to influence United Nations and European Union policies for the benefit of children.

The International Save the Children Alliance is a signatory to the INGO Accountability Charter. Find out more
