No child should have to pay the price for adult's wars.
Disturbingly, in conflict-affected fragile states (CAFS), one in three children is out of school, a total of 37 million worldwide. Without education, and without protection, they are being denied both their childhood and hope for the future.
Rewrite the Future, Save the Children's first global campaign in our 89-year history, is focused on securing quality education for the millions of children out of school due to war and armed conflict. We are calling for change for these children, and making a direct difference ourselves by aiming to provide good quality education in conflict-affected countries for 8 million children by 2010.
And we have improved the quality of education for 3.4 million children.
