You are advised to discuss your project idea with the New Zealand Project Officer to ensure that your proposal is in line with the vision of Save the Children New Zealand and fits the funding criteria of the Small Grants Fund.This will save you time and enable you to receive all the necessary support and guidance to help you develop a fundable project proposal.
Complete the application form, enclose all the required documents and use the checklist provided (in the application form) to check that all the necessary information has been enclosed.Please do not hesitate to call the New Zealand Project Officer for support and assistance.
NB: Previous applicants that have provided Save the Children with documents pertaining to their legal registration (e.g. Trust deeds, constitution, Certificate of Incorporation) in the past 3 years need not resubmit this material but must indicate the year and period (April or September) that their last application was made.
Applicants are required to complete all sections of the application form so you do not need to send a separate project proposal. Please note that oral and visual presentations will be entertained in consultation with the Projects Officer.
Detailed information on project goals, objectives, processes, outcomes, start and finish dates, milestones, budget andhow the project will be evaluated must be detailed as required in the application form.
Full budget information for the project including quotes from suppliers is required. Additionally, a copy of last year’s accounts and your last bank statement must be attached to the application form. Information is also required on any other funding sources that have been approached for this project. Applications for retrospective funding will not be considered.
NB: If the applicant is GST registered all the amounts included in the application must be GST exclusive. If the applicant is not GST registered all amounts must be GST inclusive.
Consideration of applications will pay particular attention to the impact and effectiveness of the project in contributing to positive and lasting change for children.All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within six weeks of the closing date.
