Ladyhawke artwork auction for Save the Children's Haiti Emergency Appeal

16 January 2010 - Ladyhawke artist Sarah Larnach has announced that the ebay auction of Ladyhawke artwork will raise funds for Save the Children's Haiti Emergency Appeal.

"I'm really pleased to be able to give the funds raised in this ebay auction to Save the Children, in the knowledge that they are actively involved in Haitian relief efforts. I'm grateful that Save the Children have assured me that the money will be used directly to aid children and their families in Haiti," says artist Sarah Larnach.

This is the first time members of the public will have the opportunity to purchase a piece of Ladyhawke related artwork.

Sarah Larnach's family have been directly affected by the Haiti disaster. Her step-sister Emily Sanson-Rejouis has lost her husband Emmanuel Rejouis and daughters Kofie-Jade and Zenzie in the earthquake. Her daughter Alyanah was rescued.

Save the Children is on the ground in Haiti providing immediate lifesaving assistance, such as food, water, shelter and child-friendly spaces.

“We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sarah Larnach and Ladyhawke for arranging this artwork auction in the middle of this tragic occasion. It's an absolute privilege to accept their generosity.

“The money raised will go directly to Haiti for immediate emergency supplies as well as the long term recovery effort. We are committed to addressing the immediate needs of children and families and making sure they have a brighter future ahead,” said Save the Children Chief Executive Liz Gibbs.
