Save the Children New Zealand announces appointment of Acting Executive Director

Save the Children New Zealand announces the appointment of Philip Abraham as the Acting Executive Director.

Mr Abraham joins SCNZ from his position as the Chief Executive of Manfeild Park Trust. He has extensive experience in retail, marketing and business management working with high-profile industries and the not-for-profit business sector. 

Of his appointment Mr Abraham says: “I am looking forward to the opportunities that are presented within my new role, and the chance to further solidify Save the Children as the world’s leading independent aid and development organisation for children.”

Philip Abraham commences his role as Acting Executive Director on Monday 17 November 2008.

The Board of SCNZ will begin a formal search process for a successor in 2009.
