Greatest Need

As a Greatest Need Children's Champion Sponsor you'll be helping us to help the children that need it most - the poorest, those with little education, health care or access to clean water or proper sanitation. Projects change every 12 months, and currently include:

  • protecting children from the impact of HIV/AIDS in Kenya and Mozambique ;
  • helping children to exercise their rights and make positive life choices in Bangladesh ; and
  • empowering girls in Nepal  to take a stand against harassment, abuse, child marriages and violence.

Projects are selected according to poverty indicators and those that can have the most positive impact on children's lives. While these projects will change, you can be assured that your sponsorship will be supporting children with the greatest needs, wherever this may be.

This sponsorship option does not include emergency relief work.

Become a Children's Champion!

At just $25 a month, your sponsorship will run for as long as you wish. Once you become a Greatest Need Children's Champion Sponsor, a local volunteer will administer your sponsorship, helping to keep our administration costs to a minimum.

All Children's Champion receive three newsletters a year from Save the Children, keeping you up-to-date with the programme you support and outlining exactly what kind of difference your sponsorship is making to children's lives.
