Save the Children values your privacy and is committed to protecting any information that you supply us. Information that you give us will be held by Save the Children New Zealand and used to communicate with you about our work.

Privacy of information

We do not sell or share any personal information collected on our website, including email lists, to other organisations.

Information you supply us with may be used to:

  • contact you about our work
  • send you tax receipts for your donations
  • obtain payment for purchases or confirm your purchases.

The personal information obtained for one purpose will not be used for another and information will only be kept for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any third party without prior consent from you, unless we honestly believe disclosure is required by law.

Save the Children takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of all information that we hold about you, and to keep this information accurate and up to date. We meet industry standards and use a range of methods to keep your information as safe as possible.

  • We collect information such as your IP address, the browser used, the date and time visited, the URLs visited and your email address if provided.
  • Information collected by the website is used to measure site traffic, statistical trends and online behaviour
  • This site uses cookies. Cookies are pieces of information that are sent to you computer by Save the Children when you access our website. If you don't want cookies to be stored on your PC it is possible to disable them without affecting your navigation around the site.   • We will ensure there are reasonable safeguards against loss, misuse or disclosure of personal information. (and mention the security systems used, e.g. SSL)

Your right to access your personal information

Save the Children ensures that you are able to access, change, and update any information that we hold about you at any time.  If you wish to do this please contact us at 0800 167 168 setting out your name, contact details, and the details of your request. We will acknowledge your request within three business days.

Employee and volunteer information

When you apply to volunteer or work at Save the Children New Zealand we collect information about you.  This information will not be used to contact you for any other purpose than employment or volunteer opportunities with Save the Children New Zealand. Unsubscribe policy

We don’t want to be sending you emails or letters unless you want us to. If you don’t want to get emails from us please use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails, or contact us at info@savethechildren.org.nz
