Children's Emergency Fund

No one knows when the next earthquake, flood or tsunami will strike. Increasingly frequent humanitatian disasters threaten the lives of children around the world each year.

Children are severely affected by natural and humanitarian disasters. When affected by conflict, drought and disease outbreaks they are the most vulnerable.

That’s why Save the Children is prepared to help protect vulnerable children during disasters and their aftermath. We also support children's needs throughout ongoing, complex emergency responses.

On any given day, Save the Children’s disaster relief experts can be found responding to the needs of children during these challenging times, providing essential food, safety, comfort and lifesaving care .

Regular donations to the Children’s Emergency Fund help us prepare before emergencies happen and then help us deliver immediate care and long term assistance.

Since 2010, we have used our Children’s Emergency Fund to help children in need in Cambodia, Pakistan, Christchurch, Haiti, Kyrgyzstan and Niger.
