Emergency response

More than 60 million children are caught up in emergencies every year. 

One of our roles is to make sure communities are prepared for emergencies. An important part of this is making sure we have funds and supplies at the ready. 

Donations to our Children's Emergency Fund play a crucial role in ensuring we do.

When disaster does strike,  we strive to respond immediately. Our focus is always on saving children’s lives.  

In addition to helping source and deliver water, food, shelter and medical equipment - we also make sure child friendly spaces are a priority. You can read more about these designated places for children by clicking here. 

We also ensure families know how to stick together and we often help track children if they separate from their families.  

Once an emergency is over, our job is far from over. We stay and help local communities recover quickly and re-establish their lives and help ensure ongoing solutions are in place.
