Web Assistant Internship (4 month contract)

Location: London
Salary: Unpaid
Three days a week- full-time
Closing Date: 15 December

The position sits within the Communications team which is tasked with promoting the Alliance and the role of the Secretariat both internally and externally and in facilitating communications collaboration between Members. It also supports the communications departments of smaller members, through, for instance, guidance on the Alliance Content Management System (CMS).

The role has strong technical elements, and requires a technical skillset as set out in the internship description. Candidates who cannot demonstrate knowledge and ease with these skills will not be considered for the position.

Your main task would be to assist the Online Communications Manager with ongoing and project based work including updating the websites and providing technical assistance to CMS users.

Rewrite the Future Intern (4 month contract, min 20 hours per week)

Save the Children is rewriting the future for millions of children in conflict-affected countries by helping to ensure they get a quality education and by campaigning for their right to education to be respected. Rewrite the Future is Save the Children’s first global campaign, with an overall budget of $450 million, harnessing the power of our international organisation to achieve our ambitious goals by 2010: to improve the quality of education for 8million children – getting 3 million of those children into school for the first time.

You can be part of this campaign – we’re looking for an enthusiast to join a small team at our International Secretariat to assist primarily with communications and advocacy activities.

Your role may include:Sourcing communications material, Updating xtranet with news and materials, Tracking and publicising advocacy,  online research for upcoming events and activities, Helping with mailouts etc.

Senior Secretariat Manager (6 month contract with the possibility of extension)

Salary: £45 000 - £55 000 depending on experience

This role sits at the heart of our new strategic plan commencing in 2010. The organization will go through considerable changes and in order to prepare for this, we need to ensure that the office, facilities and support staff are efficient and effective, and that systems and processes are analysed and modernised. 

You will have experience of organisational development both in HR and Finance departments, change and project management. You will need to show where you have analysed, designed and delivered a change programme. This challenging opportunity could start immediately, initially for 6 months, but with the possibility of extension.

Director, Save the Children Hong Kong

Location: Hong Kong

You will build a strong, regionally focused team to strategically manage relationships with governments, foundations, corporates and the individual donor. Deputy Director Internal Audit (Asia)

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Save the Children US seeks a Deputy Director, Internal Audit to work with stakeholders in identifying risks that hinder achievement of Save the Children’s objectives; assessing the adequacy of internal control systems to reduce identified risks; and recommending appropriate internal control system to efficiently reduce associated risks.  This person will also be responsible for general planning of the assigned work (audits, financial management reviews or special projects), performing fieldwork and reporting results and will be under the direct supervision of the AVP of Global Audit and Risk Services. 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business related field as well as minimally 7 – 10 years work experience in related field (e.g. audit, accounting, financial analysis, information systems) with at least 5 to 7 years of internal or external audit experience.
